Manual : Foote
Thank you for purchasing Foote. In this manual, we will explain everything you need to know about Foote and its use.
Footes intended use
Foote is an ergonomic monitor stand for mobile monitors, designed to take with you wherever you go. Foote is designed to be used in conjunction with a mobile monitor from 15 inches to 17.3 inches with a maximum weight of 1.2 kg. Foote is not designed or tested for monitors larger than 17.3 inches or heavier than 1.5 kg. Therefore, Foote is not intended as a monitor stand for large fixed monitors.
When setting up Foote, always check if there is still sufficient force in the hinge of Foote. There should be no space visible between the outermost eccentric and the arm at the foot (see red marking photo). If a gap is visible, the force in the hinge is too low. Use the hex key on the side of the foot of Foote (see green marking photo) to tighten the screw on the side and increase the force in the hinge.
The hinge on the screen can be adjusted when the screen is mounted. Here too, the screw can be tightened or loosened to increase or decrease the force in the hinge. Make sure that the screen stays in all positions and does not fold down.
Foote is made of bamboo, a renewable natural material. The bamboo has been treated with a natural oil. This oil nourishes the bamboo and prevents dirt from penetrating the wood, keeping Foote in excellent condition for a long time. Due to this treatment, you can clean Foote with water and a non-aggressive soap if necessary.
To keep Foote in optimal condition, the treatment of the bamboo with a natural oil must be renewed at least once a year or when the bamboo becomes dry and rough. For this, you can use cutting board oil. Rub Foote with the cutting board oil using a cloth. After a few minutes of soaking, you can wipe off the excess oil with a dry cloth.
Protect your monitor
Insert your mobile monitor with Foote into a laptop case that is large enough. This will prevent the screen of your monitor from getting scratched or breaking due to excessive pressure on the screen.
